Hi, I'm really struggling with my second pregnancy and was wondering how common my side effects are. I don't want to bother the doctor if it's something I need to suck up and deal with but equally I'm finding day to day life really hard!

Since around 8 weeks I've been feeling exhausted. My commute involves a 40 minute walk each way and after five minutes I feel like I'm walking through treacle. My body aches. I also feel mentally drained.. I'm struggling to concentrate at work and constantly have that mild headache brain foggy feeling that I used to get after too many nights out in a row. I remember having these physical symptoms a few weeks before my son was due, but the fact that I'm not even half way through yet makes me panic a bit!

I was hoping it was first semester tiredness but it doesn't seem to be dissipating. I'm going to bed at 8pm most nights, and sleeping through til around 7am and still I feel the same.

Has anyone experienced similar, and found anything that helps?

Thanks for reading

I’m definitely with you! I’m 23 weeks and cannot do much without feeling exhausted. I went on a stroll with dh yesterday and after about 10 mins I was so tired I had to concentrate so hard on just putting one foot in front of the other. My iron levels are high so I can’t blame it on that. I guess it’s just knackering being pregnant. Any chance that you’re able to work from home a couple of days a week, just to take the strain of the commute away? The only thing that really helps me (and I’m sooooo lucky to be able to do it) is a nap in the afternoon. I don’t have one every day but when I can I take full advantage. I really feel for you and hope that you find something that helps, or at least the tiredness gets better as you go on Smile
