Hi all,

Just wanting some advice! I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and it's my first pregnancy. I started to spot on Friday (the tiniest amount of light pink blood on the tissue) and then nothing until now. I am currently at work, went to the toilet and had more pink spotting. I have a private scan booked in for tomorrow but i am starting to stress, is this ok?

Thank you! x

It could be anything so try not to stress if you're concerned call your midwife it could be your cervix changing which can cause bleeding and if you've had sex fingers crossed for your scan I'm sure you'll both be fine xx

It's really common. I had this in my first pregnancy, it's really nothing to worry about. If it's bright red and your getting cramps etc then that's not a good sign but even lots of red blood doesn't always mean the worst. Try not to worry, I'm sure all be fine at your scan although it's very early for what they need to see, possibly won't detect a heartbeat yet.

Thank you both! I have had slight cramping but nothing major and have had that throughout the last two weeks which I spoke to the doctor about and said was pretty common. Fingers crossed it is a sticky one! xx
