18 weeks and not feeling pregnant at all. Should I be worried?

Hi, first post here.

I’m currently 18 weeks pregnant with my first baby. My husband keeps telling me to not worry and everything will be fine but I’m absolutely terrified I’m doing something wrong. All my symptoms have gone, I no longer feel sick, sore boobs etc. I have no bump just flab :( granted I’m 5”7 and a size 18 so I knew it wasn’t going to be a perfect little bump like u see on models but thought by now it would be showing a resemblance to something round. I’ve had my 12 week scan and my 16 week midwife appointment where I heard the heart beat. They’ve said everything looks fine and normal. I’m just worried it’s not growing as it should, feeling really anxious for my 20 weeks scan in a week and half.

Is there anyone else out there feeling the same?

It's natural and normal to feel like that both my pregnancies completely different your symptoms can carry on till 2nd trimester or in my 2nd pregnancy suddenly the sickness just stopped doesnt mean anything untowards if you've been checked out try to put your mind at ease and enjoy your pregnancy its natural to worry x

I never had the typically expected pregnancy symptoms at all and the first time a stranger congratulated me and asked how long I had left was around 32 weeks. I never "felt pregnant" and I'm currently sat here with my perfectly healthy baby. Symptoms tend to ease off in 2nd trimester and you won't feel a regular pattern of movement for another 10 weeks roughly so try and enjoy it as you never know if nausea will come back or leg cramp will kick in Confused

Thanks for replying, makes me feel better that Its normal to feel this way. I think I’m just so eager to see a bump and feel a proper kick, I’ve just had cramps and the odd pain but I’ve just put it down to gas at the min

It's a lovely feeling when you feel the first kick and I too desperately wanted a bump to begin with to "feel"pregnant then overdue in last trimester and all you can think is please just get it out of me!

Just enjoy feeling well - the second trimester is famed for its ‘niceness’. For the lucky, the first trimester symptoms fade & you still have plenty of energy to enjoy life before the aches, pains & waddling kicks in! I know it’s hard but try not to worry too much, almost at your 20 week scan & your bump should round off and look more bumpish soon! Smile

I’ll swap for you for ongoing Hyperemesis at almost 17 weeks if you like?! Wink
