Hi ladies, I'm currently 35 and 2, and for past 2 hours or so I've had some serious period pain and dull ache all in the bottom of my back, with painful, irregular tightenings. I've had some snotty discharge but not blood coloured.

Just need your opinions and advice as I never got this far with my last baby!

I'd give triage a call. In general BH tend to be uncomfortable at most and focused on the bump not in the back. They also mostly go away when you change activity.

Snotty discharge could be your mucus plug. I also say to phone your midwife centrw/triage

Hi, I would ring the hospital to be sure, and to put your mind at ease X

Your preterm so you need to ring the hospital now and go in to be assessed.

TidaQuel · 06/10/2019 20:39

Yes, call and go in.
I was having my first braxton hicks and put up with them all day - until my waters broke and ds was born 40 minutes later! I had no idea I was in labour as was only 31+6!

Of you have had one premature birth already (which from your post sounds as if you have?) and you have possibly lost your plug then it sounds very possible that you are going into labour. Def give the hospital a ring.
