Been trying to look up Paternity leave for my partner he has only just started at his new job two weeks ago so he won't be entitled to paternity pay once DS is born but is he still able to get paternity leave unpaid legally or is this down to his company discretion? Not really sure how it all works anyone got any idea about it?

No he wont qualify for paternity leave. They might let him take unpaid leave or annual leave but he'd need to talk to them to see what they may offer

It's worth asking what they would offer

My husband started his new job last Monday and I'm being induced on 17 October. He is being paid full pay for his 2 weeks paternity leave but he was headhunted so made it part of the negotiations....

They were interviewing him during the whole ivf process so was definitely part of the deal ha ha
