Hi ladies
I'm 22weeks pregnant and I've recently been on antibiotics which has left me with a pleasant case of thrush. Any ideas how to treat? No reply from midwife as usual 🙄

GP will prescribe you something. Annoyingly, mine only prescribed the cream and said to try it for a week to see if it worked before using pessaries...

I sent DH to the shop within 3 days for Canesten! It’s only the oral tablet you can’t use when pregnant but most shops/pharmacies won’t give you anything if you’ve visibly pregnant.

You can just use Canesten cream and Pessary as normal.

I had this too and gp prescribed normal canestan pessary and cream.

Thanks for all your replies @20viona did you use the pessery applicator or do it yourself?

I was told by GP not to use the applicator. I've had reoccurring thrush this pregnancy and just go get a prescription and then insert with fingers

I used the applicator it all cleared up swiftly. I too was concerned after reading lots online but GP said not to worry and use as instructions state.
