I can't find the nub

Hey,

I've tried everything to try and find the nub from our 12 week scan. But cannot for the life of me see it.

I don't know whether baby is in the wrong position. Or whether our scan is less clear. If anyone could circle where they think it could be that would be amazing and so appreciated!

I don’t think you can see it.. it’s not the clearest scan photo and I think a bad angle. I’ve attached mine and can you see the long line coming off what looks like the stomach area, that’s the nub! I have other photos from the 12 week scan where you can’t see the nub & I think it must be when baby had turned away slightly!

I’ve had a gender scan and I’m having a girl as many predicted from the nub!

You can be identified from your scan photos, just incase that worries you?

Its not clear really but from the second image it would suggest girl from the skull shape

What do they say if the nub is sticking up it's a boy and down for a girl?

The picture isn't very clear and the position isn't quite right to see a nub. The variance from machine to machine is massive, even in the same hospitals, I think it's the older ones that give these blurrier images so if you have a wriggly baby the picture quality can be poor.
If you're desperate to know you can book a private sexing scan from 16 weeks so not long to wait (I used a place in jesmond with DC1 who were great!)

Thankyou everyone. I didn't think about covering the name never mind! I'm glad it's not just me who can't see it. My gut says boy but everyone else is saying girl. I'm booked in for a private 16 week scan so not long!
