Hi,

I found out I was pregnant last month after a couple of negative tests. But my belly has already started showing. I've already had people asking if I'm pregnant (to which I've avoided answering) as I don't know how far I am. I know it'll be somewhere within 1-3 months maybe even more. But I'm just curious when everyone started showing?

I'm naturally slim (size 6/8) so it's very easy for me to notice a change and other people too. My belly is the same size now as it was when I was 4 months pregnant with my last 🙈 I've got my dating scan in a couple of weeks which will give me a better idea

You usually bloat for the first 3 month or so then I would say about 15 week you start properly showing but everyone is different

QueenAnneBoleyn · 03/10/2019 18:23

I was about 14 weeks

Teddybear45 · 03/10/2019 18:33

I didn’t get a proper bump until 26 weeks. Before then it was just bloat that came and went.

Everafter1 · 03/10/2019 18:39

Congratulations!

Had a bump by 11 weeks. Strangers would use the term "neat" then die of shock that I wasn't months ahead.

As it's your second you'll probably show quicker.

OccasionalNachos · 03/10/2019 18:44

First pregnancy - podgy at 17 weeks, obvious bump at 22 weeks. I’m 5 foot 7, 11 stone pre-pregnancy, and have strong ab muscles.

ElinoristhenewEnid · 03/10/2019 18:48

Went into maternity clothes at 29 weeks with 1st and 24 weeks with 2nd. Kept my pregnancies well hidden!

Moonstone12 · 03/10/2019 18:58

2nd pregnancy I had a small bump before I even took a test. I was slim though and my muscles were wrecked. I'm currently 10 weeks and it's so noticeable we've had to tell people! I look 6 months gone by the afternoons 😂😂😂

fonxey · 03/10/2019 19:12

Hmm by 10 bli free out of my skinny jeggings but i guess by Ankit 12-14 i had a small one. I can't believe how small! I used to despair at it haha.

CupCupGoose · 03/10/2019 19:14

With my first two, I started showing at about 25 weeks. This time it was about 16 weeks.

okokokthen · 03/10/2019 20:32

Seems like I'm either bloating a lot then or genuinely showing early like some of you mentioned. I can't wear jeans no more they're too tight on my belly. I can't say it's bloating because it's the same when I wake up on a morning, very noticeable. The bump was the reason for me taking so many tests to then get a positive 3 weeks after the first test.

I'm having to wear baggy clothes to hide it for the time being as I don't want anyone to know. So it's going to be hard I won't even be able to hide it by the end of the month as it's barely able to be hidden now.

I am fairly chubby, but I can feel my hard uterus Vs soft stomach (especially if I lie on my back). I could start feeling a hard uterus bump from around 15 weeks and from around 17 weeks I couldn't wear normal clothes

janey15 · 04/10/2019 09:59

I'm wondering this too OP. I'm usually an 8-10 and have put on a few pounds as eating helped my severe nausea but it only seems to have gone on my stomach. By the end of each day I look a few months further on than I am and my clothes are really uncomfortable. I think it's still bloating as it's quite high around belly button level and I'm assuming a bump starts lower?
It's very annoying either way!

okokokthen · 04/10/2019 10:08

@janey15 the bumps do usually come out around your belly button area to begin with. It's because when your uterus gets bigger all your organs move around to accommodate the growing uterus. So then it creates a bump before the uterus even becomes as big as your bump (in later stages of pregnancy) I just didn't expect mine to show anywhere near this early. 😂

So looks like we're not going to be fitting in our clothes much longer as I already look at least 4/5 months pregnant.

@LondonKate I thought I could feel my uterus the other day as it was hard but it is still very low down. I guess only time will tell if it was my uterus as apparently they only start coming out of the pubic bone region when your around 12 weeks or earlier if your having twins.

@okokokthen Oh dear! I was told I would show later because I was slim and had good stomach muscles from years of pilates. Then I had severe nausea so spent 6 weeks lying down eating carbs and now have a spare tyre, no muscle tone anywhere and the top button of my jeans permanently undone 🙈

Fluffsmum · 04/10/2019 10:19

I looked pregnant at 8 weeks, but lots of farting at 10 weeks and my bump went. By 16 weeks I could tell I was pregnant naked but it wasn't until 25weeks that it was visible with clothes on. Then one morning I woke up and couldn't get the jeans on I'd worn the previous evening!

okokokthen · 04/10/2019 10:34

@janey15 yes I have/had 🙈 good stomach muscles too (I had a 6 pack) but I am still showing early for some reason. Seems crazy to think We're showing already. But I'd have thought with us being slim it would be easy to tell anyway as everyone is so used to seeing us slim.

@Fluffsmum oh wow that's different then. Not something I'd expect to happen.
