I am going to see my midwife next week but I'm trying to get ahead if I can. I only work 9 hours, I had my hours cut a week before I found out I was pregnant. 15 weeks now .. but I was wondering if partners income is considered. If it is he will earn too much for me to get anything. And there wouldn't be much point me trying to stay at work

No, partners income isn't considered.

Oh that's good thanks. I couldn't quite work it out online because it was classed as a benefit.

I only work 10 hours a week and believe I’ll be entitled to maternity allowance. There’s a website where you put in your details and it tells you if your entitled or not.

You can choose a period where you earn the highest, within a period of 52 week I think. So it doesn’t have to be the most recent payslips you send in, you can send ones where you were earning 15 hours.

@mustardscreams oh that's good I have plenty of those wage slips I'll double check next week

Think its 13 weeks out of the last 66 weeks so use the 13 weeks with your highest earnings
