Deodorant during pregnancy - is it ok to use?

I’m something of a sweaty Betty and have previously used Odaban on my face to help prevent this, which works well.

I’ve continued to use it once or twice while pregnant as on the website it says it’s perfectly safe to do so during pregnancy.

However, I believe it does contain high levels of aluminum and I’m worried that this could be harmful to the baby. Have I screwed up?

Here’s what it says on the website:

Is Odaban safe to use during pregnancy? Yes. Odaban only acts on the surface of the skin, there is absolutely no absorbtion into the blood stream, thus no harm will come to the baby during pregnancy or afterwards if breast-feeding.

There is no advice I know of that says to avoid it. I used antiperspirant throughout both my pregnancies

I would still use it.

What you've quoted says quite clearly that it's safe in pregnancy. I woul use it without a second thought.
