Bleeding

Hi everyone,
I'm about 8 weeks pregnant and (so sorry if this is tmi, but I'm so distraught with worry) after having sex a couple hours prior, I have just gone to the loo and wiped to see a pinky/bloody tint to my urine. I suffered a loss a couple months back at about 8 weeks too, I'm sat here completely distraught already feeling defeated. I don't even want to go up to the hospital because they were useless last time, I'm so worried ☹️
If anybody could help I would be so grateful, thanks so much xx

Hi @harrybow23 - as scary as it is, bleeding in early pregnancy is REALLY common. I know this because I researched it ad infinitum when it happened to me! I couldn't stop crying because I was having proper red bleeding, like a period, so thought it was game over. I'm now 27 weeks!

You've probably just irritated your cervix a little, but to put your mind at rest, contact your early pregnancy unit tomorrow and get their advice if you're still bleeding.

Let us know how you get on 💐

Same as PP I had a substantial bright red bleed at 9 weeks. I was heartbroken. Bought a big box of doughnuts and went home to mourn another loss. I'm 31 weeks now. I think it's fairly common. See if you can get in touch with EPU I had a scan a few days later which really surprisingly showed me that everything was fine.

Can't thank you both enough for your replies, partner is asleep so I've been sat worrying myself sick on my own so even having someone to tell has helped! I'll keep an eye on it, unfortunately my local epau are rubbish and rarely even open and only accept a gp referral!! Thanks so much again, congratulations to you both, I hope to god I have a similar situation ❤️xxxx

I fully understand why you are so worried about this. I've had six losses and two healthy pregnancies. I had some spotting with nearly all of the pregnancies and I know it's very common. The main difference for me was that the spotting (leading to the losses) gradually got heavier and was accompanied by painful cramping so much so I felt I needed pain relief. I truly hope all is well for you. Thinking of you x

I also bled at around 5 weeks, I went in for a scan the next day and got told I was too early to really tell if the pregnancy was going to continue. Two long weeks later I went back and I was 7 weeks, I now have a one year old asleep next to me. Don't get too worried, call the unit tomorrow morning. Good luck❤️

Try not to worry to much ( someone I know) thought she lost her baby at 6 weeks, she was bleeding like she was having a period for a couple of weeks, she though the worst but now her baby is 8 months. ( I've had 4 mc also ) Please get checked out though.

How are you doing today, @harrybow23?

harrybow23 · 29/09/2019 19:26

@RedPandaFluff thanks so much for checking in on me you're so kind. Absolutely fine today thanks, no more bleeding since I posted the message so all seems fine!❤️

Hi wanted to jump on... for those of you who bled, how long did it go on for? I’ve been spotting red and brown for 10 days now, EPAU aren’t concerned as I’m not filling any pads, having pains or passing clots! I’m worried obviously, had a transvaginal scan 5 days ago and they wouldn’t find a reason for bleeding but saw sac! Back for a scan on 28/11/19
