What do you think? Fearing the worst 😭

I have had several faint BFP’s since 8dpo. Today I had a “pregnant 1-2” on Clearblue digital. I am now 11DPO, with AF due either Monday or Tuesday next week.

I only tested at 8dpo as I had incredibly sensitive and sore nipples and I was coming out in lots of spots on my face. I was very surprised to get s BFP (although faint) so early.

I’ve continued having sensitive and sore nipples and heavy feeling breasts up to today. And a couple of hours ago, I started having mild cramping and a few bits of stringy brown discharge with some creamy brownish/yellowish cervical mucus (sorry if TMI). I’m obviously worried now and fearing the worst.

I’m thinking if I was able to pick up BFP’s from 8dpo and even get a BFP on a CBD test with afternoon urine, and have sore nipples and boobs, then my HCG levels should be fairly high right? And there’s a chance this could be implantation bleeding/old blood? But would implantation not have already happened a few days ago for me to get the symptoms/BFP’s...? Sorry for rambling on. I’m just anxious 😩

Sounds 100% normal and fine, congratulations!

ISmellBabies · 26/09/2019 18:12

Ooh, maybe it's twins!

MagicalUnicornPoo · 26/09/2019 18:40

@ISmellBabies god 🙈😂 I hope everything is ok. I didn’t have implantation bleeding with my other two pregnancies so I’m new to it.

I've had 4 pregnancies and they've all been different. Only had implantation spotting on one. I also had proper bad period cramps on another one, but no spotting. I think I've one of everything tbh. But no day 8 bfps, and no twins, haha! Good luck!

MagicalUnicornPoo · 27/09/2019 10:00

Still having some very mild cramping and a very small amount of stringy brown discharge. Only when I wipe though. I have put a pad on to see whether anything shows up. I’m really fearing the worst 😭

Early stages of pregnancy is the worst isn't it? You don't have a clue what's going on in there and it's so worrying and frustrating. I had 5 losses before my baby who is here with me today.
To be honest they all felt the same early on, bad cramping etc, I was so sure I was going to loose the baby I have now. However with my previous losses I got fresh red blood a few days after a postitive. Then with my MMC I got a brown gush, enough to fill a pad. So even with brown you don't know what the heck is going on as I wasn't aware I had MM carried until the scan.
Try not to worry tho, your body will let you know something is wrong if something is.
I wouldn't be too worried about brown stringy bits for now, just monitor it. It could be completely normal.

RedWineAllMine · 27/09/2019 10:22

Judging by threads on here fresh red blood and brown haven't meant anything, and pregnancies continued successfully. It's almost impossible to know as every pregnancy is different. You're too early to be scanned I think, however a chat with your midwife might get you an appointment with EPU. They can take your bloods and see if your HGC is rising or not, which would give you your answer.
You could try taking a clear blue digital in a few days, see if the weeks pregnant have risen. But that will turn into compulsory checking, causing yourself unnecessary stress. We've all been there and done it! I'd say continue as normal, monitor it, and if you are worried try to get an appointment with your Early Pregnancy unit via a doctor or Midwife. Relax and don't worry. Worrying won't change anything, although I know it's hard not to.

I hate early pregnancy! Thanks for the advice and reassurance. I’ve contacted a local private ultrasound clinic and asked if they can conduct a viability scan from 4 weeks. They have Spaces tomorrow if so... fingers crossed I’m just worrying over nothing.

The clinic have just got back to me and said they won’t do anything earlier than 6 weeks 😩

@MagicalUnicornPoo its impossible to see anything at 4 weeks even on an internal, I had one and it just worried me more. Then went back at 6 weeks and could see heart beat flickering away. It’s definitely the right advise to wait. But it sounds like you’ve nothing to worry about, as long as your not in a lot of pain or passing clots then try and relax.

MagicalUnicornPoo · 27/09/2019 12:04

@MockingJay27 I know... I’m just worried. It’s very small brown stringy bits that kind of look like really small veins or blood vessels? I guess is how I would describe them. And I am having some slight pinkish/beige discharge. I’ve booked a private scan for the day I’m 6 weeks anyway

MockingJay27 · 27/09/2019 12:08

@MagicalUnicornPoo It is probably just abit of blood from implantation. Fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on at your 6 week scan. X

MagicalUnicornPoo · 27/09/2019 12:24

@MockingJay27 thank you, I’m clinging onto the hope it’s just a bit of leftover blood from implantation and that everything is fine. AF would have originally been due Mon/Tues next week and I ordinarily would get some brown spotting in the days leading up to that. But it would be different to how this is now, if that makes sense? The stringy bits now seem a lot “drier” than the spotting I would usually get before AF.

OP posts:
RedWineAllMine · 27/09/2019 12:56

I think you need to just wait out, and see what happens when you are due on next week. It's too early to tell anything I think until your period becomes a missed period.

StormBaby · 27/09/2019 13:00

I'm currently in a similar limbo. I'm 11 days late, getting the faintest bfps, even on first response. They're so faint they barely show up. I know I am pregnant 100% so just playing the waiting game for a strong positive. I had a tiny speck of implantation bleeding last Friday.

ELW85 · 27/09/2019 14:12

@MagicalUnicornPoo - the stringy bits are actually likely to be CM.
You had exactly this as had a positive at 10 DPO/a day before AF was due and then had really light brown spotting for about 3 days.
We had an early reassurance scan after the EPU/midwife referred us and I’m pleased to say that all is well 🤞🏻 And 15 weeks tomorrow!
It’s totally right to get it checked out but try not to worry too much, unless the flow and colour changes.
Have you rang the EPU for advice?
