@Jasmine007 I'm 5 and a half weeks and have had some very dark blood this morning. Trying not to worry as no pain with it but it's still making me anxious. There are some other really helpful threads on here with lots of positive outcome stories regarding bleeding in early pregnancy. Hope all goes well for you

If it reassures you at all, I had a really heavy but quick bleed at 8 weeks and everything was fine - now 15 weeks and everything still progressing well. Can you get an appointment at your local Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit? I was given a scan a few days after which was really reassuring - would have found it difficult to wait until the dating scan.

@Jasmine007 last weekend I had bright red bleeding followed by brown blood with loads of clots and period type back ache, had scan next day and saw baby, doctor said it was unexplained and it's just one of those things we can't explain! Speak to doctors or midwife. If it gets worse and you have bad pain go to A+E x
