I'm only 4+5 and keep waking up at 5am every morning.. Then can't get back to sleep at all.

This has been happening for about a week now and I'm then flaking all day. Everyone says get your sleep in before baby arrives, I'm trying to!

Anyone else experienced this and know if/when it'll stop happening? Or anyone have any advise for going back to sleep?

Thanks Smile

Congratulations! Smile
Yeah I had this, it's the damn hormones! The day I took my test I had been up since 4:30.

I got back to normal then the latter part of the second trimester I would be sleepy till about 5pm then wide awake till 1am.

3rd trimester & I'm just resting whenever I can tbh. Each trimester brings different sleep/tiredness issues.

Take naps whenever you feel like you can't push on more. Sometimes I would avoid napping so I wasn't up all night, but if your body's telling you it needs to rest just give in to it. It's doing a lot of anazing work Smile

It’s to do with progesterone I think.

Still got it now at 14+5 🙈

Thank you for your responses Smile

I'm definitely in need of a nap now, if only I could get away with it at work!

Hi- another one from me..

Is it normal to have such an elevated heart rate? My resting rate is usually around 50.. I exercise all the time and have a healthy BMI..

My resting heart rate today is 95-115 and I can feel it pumping in my chest whilst sitting at my desk.

Anyone else experienced this?

Yes!! Early morning wake ups have been a thing for a while. Then turned into 3am loo runs. At 14 weeks + 4 it's not as bad but I do still wake up in the night. It's your uterus expanding to make way for baby which puts pressure on the bladder. Wake ups are normal I believe as hormones are all over the shop. I hear its worse in third trimester as your body prepares you for lack of sleep

@hopefulhun I think elevated HR and breathlessness is a common symptom. I definitely felt it when going up stairs
