I'm currently 25+1 and have 2 bright red stretch marks at the bottom of my bump, can anyone recommend the best cream/oil to help tone them down a bit 🤭 please no bio oil as I can't bear the smell or the ever lasting greasiness, thanks

I've been using palmers cocoa butter tummy butter (in a screw lid tub) from day one and haven't had any stretch marks. I know that's not what you asked, but it must be good as it's nearly completely erased a horrible scar I had on my stomach from catching it with the iron last year! X

I used body shop body butter (for very dry skin) and didn't get one stretch mark despite a 5 stone weight gain and a very enormous bump Grin
I have them on my hips and boobs too so I don't think it's good genetics/skin Confused

Iv been using bio oil (I don't find it stays greasy for long or really smells to bad maybe you had a bad batch?) and the Palmers butter x

I find normal e45 lotion has been helping me. So far no stretch marks but it really helps with the itchiness and tightness.

The mama mio body butter cream is working for me so far- 32 weeks, giant bump and no stretch marks that I've noticed yet! (And I know I'm prone to getting them as my hips and thighs are covered in silvery ones from puberty). Smells lovely and can still feel how moisturised my skin is when I go to bed having applied the cream in the morning. Fairly pricey though.

Thanks ladies, I think I have some palmers left over from holiday earlier in the year! Just read on their website that it 'soothes marks and scars' so hopefully they might not be as obvious in a few weeks 🤞🏽

I used a secret saviours band and didn't get any

But they're only going to get more obvious in the next few weeks as you get bigger, any cream that works on scars etc won't tone them down until after pregnancy when the skin has had weeks/months to heal and fade them.

I've been using blossom and bloom. Pricey but I'm 30w and no stretch marks yet. I've had marks in the past from weight gain as a teenager so I think the cream is genuinely helping

I’ve been using Trofolastin- it’s expensive but the only cream that has been systematically reviewed as being clinically effective in preventing stretch marks. Smells great too.
