Need to drink constantly or I feel dehydrated

I'm 19 weeks and I feel like all I do is drink. I've had a bit of a rough pregnancy so far and this is yet another thing driving me mad. I probably drink 3 to 4 litres a day but it's still not enough and I feel dehydrated all the time. I get daily headaches and I don't want to keep taking paracetamol all the time. We went out for the day Sunday, and I kept having to sit down and have a drink to keep going. I'm finding the evenings hard as I get up to go to the toilet about 5 times a night (sometimes more) but I can't limit my evening drinking without feeling really thirsty and getting a headache. Does any one else have this?

This is my third pregnancy but I didn't have this with the other two.

I have this too! I feel like I drink absolute gallons! I was worried about diabetes but pee tests come back fine and midwife didn’t seem concerned....

I guess we just need it more?

I'm glad I'm not the only one then! I feel like my life evolves around drinking. I have to take water out with me wherever I go.

Yep I've had this pretty much throughout.. negative for diabetes as well. Just a constant cycle of drinking water and going to the toilet Grin

I'm the same as well. I take a bottle of water with my everywhere I go and keep a bottle beside my bed

Well it has been very hot too, I'm always drinking water too and not pregnant.

Are you due to have m a gestational diabetes test? Might be worth just mentioning it to your midwife

I have this too but not to your extreme. I feel like I could chug a litre of water in one go I feel soooo thirsty all the time. Apparently it's the increase in blood flow etc. I started to get it around 20/22 weeks and I'm not 25 weeks and still feeling mega thirsty all day. I drink around 2.5L a day which to me is a lot as I used to struggle with drinking 1L! X

Please tell your midwife. It could be an indicator for gestational diabetes.
