Craving a smell?!

I'm 37w and haven't had any food cravings but in the last week I've had an overwhelming, weirdly strong craving for the smell of a particular facial cleansing product. It's quite an astringent smell (the product has alcohol, menthol and eucalyptus in it) and I cannot stop sniffing it!

I know this probably sounds mad. I don't want to drink the stuff (thank God!) but I could just sit there smelling it for ages.

Has anyone else craved a smell rather than a food? Please tell me I'm not the only one - I feel like a lunatic!

Yes! Obsessed with sniffing wet washing/smol multipurpose it’s so weird!

Bath sponges! I may have purchased one and a scrub daddy just for my selfish desires, I even chew on pieces of them but never swallow 🤣

In my first pregnancy, I craved the smell of cleaning products/ chemically smells. Paint stripper, bleach, mr sheen polish made my mouth water! Of course I didn't drink them, only smelt them, but I spent a lot of time in the cleaning aisle of shops having a good sniff. I even kept a can of mr sheen on my desk at work, every so often I would spray a little in the lid and smell it 😂(obvs just smelling it, not huffing it to get high haha)

Not a smell, but in my first pregnancy I NEEDED to stand next to running water. I would walk to the river every day and just stand there with my eyes closed like a lunatic.

this was during lockdown when we were only allowed out once a day, so if I had the urge again later in the day id stand next to the sink with the taps running 😅

I craved the smell of freshly cut wood, white spirit and white undercoat paint lol .... basically lived in B&Q for 9 months!

this has reminded me 18 years ago being obsessed with Dettol (the brown antiseptic liquid) I used to bathe in it, clean with it and just sit and sniff the bottle. God I loved it
