Multiple positive tests on One step but negative on FRER?

Ok so just to add, I haven't had the best experience with first response. When I've had them they were faulty, had strong indent lines or didn't work at all.

4 days ago I took my first strip test. It came back clearly positive, and I mean it was pink and distinct. I obviously rushed out to get a proper test and frer was the only one they had. To my disappointment, it came back negative.

I've continued taking the one step and they've all come back positive, progressively getting more clear and clear.

Now the current batch of tests that I've used I've had for two months. Last month when I've tested they all were negative. Nothing on them. This is the first time that they have been positive. I even dipped one in water thinking that it was faulty but that came back negative. Didn't show anything at all.

I took one just half an hour ago and it's possibly the clearest one I've had yet. I don't know whether I should trust the result though since the first response was negative? Frer has a sensitivity of 6.5mi whereas these have a 10mi so why the hell haven't frer picked this up? I've tested these damn strip tests on every liquid possible and it's only with my pee that they come back positive.

Someone, please give me some hope! I'm 10dpo btw.

Just wanted to say I got negative on FRER multiple times but positives on Sainsburys own and Clear Blue, I am 26 weeks now, not getting a positive on FRER really threw me off, even a few days after getting positive on Sainsburys I did my last FRER and still negative!

Can't explain it but would say never rely too heavily on one brand :) Good luck xxx

I’m the exact other way around. Was getting BFP on FRER and CBD tears but despite the CBD tests saying “pregnant” One Step wasn’t picking it up 🙄

@twiglet2020 thanks for replying back! I actually haven't bothered getting another frer and I've stuck to my one step and clear blue. I'm still getting positives, but one step aren't so reliable because they have mixed amounts of dye in them so I never know if it's progressing properly or not. I did have a faint positive on a clear blue yesterday so who knows? I'm hoping it's not a chemical but only time will tell. My period is due today so we'll see. And congrats! xxx

@MagicalUnicornPoo Honestly, I think a lot of tests are getting dodgy batches. Frer has really put me off personally. I don't know if it's just the area I live in that has faulty ones or whether it's the over all quality.
