Hello, I don't know what to do

I'm bleeding a lot (a pads worth) since this morning.

This is my third pregnancy. This did not happen with my other two pregnancies. Both born heathy girls.

When should I phone the doctors? Is this normal?

I'm in no pain. I've felt light headed and dizzy for months that's it

Thanks in advance xx

Hi there

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this.

Relatively small amounts of brown blood can be normal, or can be a sign of miscarriage. Heavy red bleeding should be checked out by a doctor.

It could be nothing or it could be something, but it is best to get some medical advice

Good luck ❤️

Flowers good luck. Just a hand hold from me. I had heavy bleeding with pain at 6 weeks with DC1, but not with DC2. Hoping for the best for you. If you are post-7 weeks, they might scan for a heartbeat if you ask.

I agree that you should see somebody for a medical opinion.
xx

Hi an update I've phoned maternity ward twice and they just keep saying to monitor the bleeding. I've not been Checked and I've raised my concerns. They won't see me until it's very heavy and there's many clots.

Is this the right thing to do or should I try see someone else? It just feels very uneasy for me

Thanks x

Unfortunately at this stage there isn't a lot they can do which is why the maternity / epu tend not to see you unless Severe pain and bleeding.

I'm sorry you're going through this I've had a few miscarriages and 2 babies (pregnant with 3 now) I've bleed in nearly all my pregnancies and 50% still turned out ok.

Try rest up as much as you can and if you start bleeding heavily or are in pain go to a&e. Hopefully the nurse who calls you can refer you to the epu

I was told I had to be bleeding through a pad within an hour or bleeding for 48 hours before they would see me.

I'm so sorry you're going through this.
