Uncomfortable feeling and pressure

I'm 33+3, and I've had a horrible uncomfortable feeling all day. Like aching pains all in my back and abdomen, I've had some white milky discharge, had a tiny bit of blood but that's it, and I've had horrid pressure in my pelvis as well. Almost cried as it was that uncomfortable! Still feeling baby move though.

Any advice?

TIA x

Have you phoned your maternity unit? Give them a call x

loveyourself87 · 23/09/2019 18:03

@rebeccaxxxxx seeing as you are so late in your pregnancy I would call your midwife or out of hours helpline just to be on the safe side xx

rebeccaxxxxx · 23/09/2019 18:06

No huns I haven't phoned them, I'm feeling baby move alot but just the pressure alone is enough to reduce me to almost tears! I'm currently in the bath trying to ease the pain but doesn't seem to be working 😫

Can baby movements feel like contractions?

Xx

Most of us aren't midwives and can't give the best advice. You need to speak to a professional in the field

maternityleave234 · 23/09/2019 18:12

@rebeccaxxxxx ring maternity unit, they are fab. Even if it’s nothing they won’t mind... best to get checked out!

rebeccaxxxxx · 23/09/2019 19:39

I've got midwife tomorrow, so I might just wait to see what she says and ask her to examine me?

I would phone midwife unit best to be safe & get checked over.your baby moving doesnt feel like contractions but bleeding & discharge could be a sign of labour, ive had a baby at 33wks and i had pain then a little blood with discharge and was 6cm dilated.with this pregnancy ive phoned midwife unit alot and they are so nice even if u phone just for advice.

Everafter1 · 23/09/2019 19:54

I'd definitely call them rather than wait, especially if the pressure is that strong!

lljkk · 23/09/2019 19:56

please phone the MW now

maternityleave234 · 23/09/2019 21:19

@rebeccaxxxxx how you getting on?

rebeccaxxxxx · 24/09/2019 11:42

*@maternityleave234 I'm still feeling slightly uncomfortable, had no more bleeding but still feeling some discomfort and tightening feelings around my belly, can this feel like baby moving? I've got midwife at 1 so I'll tell her then

@rebeccaxxxxx let us know how you get on.. good luck xx

rebeccaxxxxx · 24/09/2019 13:43

I've just got back to midwife, she felt tightening, said it could just be braxton hicks but it's so painful 😫 and if pain doesn't ease with pain relief or any bleeding to contact birthing unit .. scary times thinking this could be the real thing as I never had it with my first, she was born 14 weeks early!

I have not heard of BH being more than mildly uncomfortable.
Have you packed a hospital bag?
I'm just saying you want to be ready for a sudden trip to hospital.

rebeccaxxxxx · 24/09/2019 22:17

Ironically I did my hospital bag yesterday! Well most of it, still a few more bits to put in but enough if I need to go! They've eased off slightly but still come and go irregularly, and extremely uncomfortable and take my breathe away!

Glad everything is okay OP. I had BH but they weren't painful. I read somewhere they're not meant to be painful but this could be wrong

rebeccaxxxxx · 26/09/2019 16:29

As a follow on from my post - past hpir or so I've had a god awful achy pressure pain in my pelvis and my thighs and legs ache like something unimaginable! Tightenings happening again 😫😫😫😫
