2 days late, negative tests

Hi all I gather this is asked a lot but just looking for some advice...

I had unprotected sex on 8th sept, 2 weeks after my last period started. Period due yesterday, hasn't arrived today either. Usually have a 28 day cycle. No sign of cramps or feeling cranky like I usually do. Have taken 2 tests, a cheap one yesterday and today taken a first response, both negative.

Feeling nauseous in general not just in the morning, not sure if this is related or if I'm just convincing myself I'm pregnant! I also have small amounts of white/clear discharge, have had no spotting at all.

Hate this waiting game of either waiting for the period or waiting for a positive.. any advice?

I was 5 days late and still got negative test. In the end I had a blood test. Showed low levels of HCG so think I conceived late in cycle. Even after the positive blood test the stick tests were still negative. Fingers crossed for you. Definitely got fed up of looking at none existent lines!

I had a negative as I tested in the night then tested in the morning first wee and got a positive have you been doing the test with the first morning wee?

@blazerbranch it's a pain isn't it considering how expensive they add up to be. Glad you got sorted though I'll give it a week or so then ring the doctor if I'm still late!

It is really tortuous though so 💐 and keeping everything crossed. This was after 2.5 years do ttc so I didn't dare believe it.

Woke up this morning still no period! Had light brown spotting in my discharge so not sure if this is implantation or early period.. Took another test and it's a BFN

Still having light brown discharge and no bleeding.. never usually get brown discharge before a period. Could this be late implantation?

Could be anything. Late periods (or late bfps) are generally cause by late ovulation, which would make you're period late by the same number of days. Or you can have a cycle where you didn't ovulate, which is totally normal every once in awhile. These anovulatory cycles can have slightly different af than you're used to.

All you can do is wait an test again if af still doesn't arrive. You'd be hard pressed to find a gp who will do a blood test if getting bfn and only a couple weeks late. It's because late periods aren't unusual...
