How do you keep maternity jeans up?

Hi ladies - any tips for keeping maternity jeans up? I've got a pair of over-bump skinnies from h&m which are the best I've tried yet, but they still fall down! I guess there's no part that goes 'in' after your hips, and the bump bit is so enormous... Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom?

Sorry not much help, I found I couldn't wear maternity jeans until quite near the end when I was quite big

PotatoesPastaAndBread · 22/09/2019 17:21

You just get fatter until you fill them 👍

I have these. Sometimes I fold the over-bump bit over so it's under-bump and feels a bit more secure!

Nothing holds them up. 3 pregancies over 16 yrs and they never improved the design. Sorry

Bellasblankexpression · 22/09/2019 17:28

You need to wait until your bump is big enough or they just fall down in my experience

I ended up shrinking mine in the tumble dryer 🙈🙈🙈 that helped!
I had a really small bump so I tended to
Wear a larger size in most things as I found maternity clothes horrendous.
New look were the worse hugely oversized!

Ditch the jeans for leggings. They stay up.

I've just bought a couple from Lidl and they have belt hoops!

I have lots from h and m and find them the best! Not sure I j sweat and the problem you are having? I get a size 10 (size below what I usually take) and there fab! I think either your not ready for maternity trou or your getting wrong size I'd say xx

No idea. I threw mine in the bin in a fit of rage when they fell down for approximately the 7,899th time as I cooked dinner.

crazymuseummumtobe · 22/09/2019 17:58

The problem is I have larger thighs and bum, so anything that fits those is ten enormous for the bump - which is very much there, but not that big!

I might try a bump band over the top to hold them up. If that doesn't work, I think jeans are out for the time being 😕

It might be time for some maternity dungarees:)))

@crazymuseummumtobe I can’t keep any up either. And it’s nothing to do with bump size, my bump is measuring 6 weeks overdue and I’ve still got 4 weeks to go.
I’m a size 14 normally and I exercised a lot before pregnant, so have very large calves and thighs. H and M wouldn’t even in there biggest size go over my legs.!
I’ve given up on jeans and just buying size 22 normal leggings, as cheaper than maternity ones

I bought ASOS Ridley ones as they have belt loops, and a mens' belt!
