@Pud26 I cant remember, but if you read the packet it says the weight on the front. My DD fit into size 1 she was 8 pounds 9, I think she was in them a couple of weeks.

There isn't much difference in size 1&2, this time I have bought four size 1 and four size 2!

I would buy more size 1 if you think your baby might be a bit smaller, my DC don't fit newborn clothes...

I can’t remember either! Why do you need to know? I would just buy a pack and then see how you get on.

Mine was a smurf so he was in size ones for around a month if not a little longer, he only moved into a 2 because of his cmpa explosions.. a 1 would’ve done normal poo or wee but not the up the back down the leg numbers. We always have to size up to hope it stays in for the most part. He was 6lb at birth.

My DD is just coming out of size 1's at 10 weeks. She was 6lb 11oz at birth and a real long and skinny babies so size ones were almost too big at first. She's been gaining weight steadily so no concerns but taken a while to bulk out as she's been growing longer rather than wider. However all babies are different - I would suggest getting packs of both size 1s and 2s (not too many of each though) and go from there.

Dc5 is 2 weeks today, weighs 9lb2 and still in size 1

I’ve got 4 packs of the Asda little angels size 1 (one was free in a pack!) I think I’ll grab some size 2 on my next shop so I can assess it. It’s hard to know what to do until you know babies weight! I might get another size 1 pack! I have a friend whose daughter is expecting a month after me so I can give them to her if not needed! X

I have more children than is socially acceptable (or thats how it feels anyway!). I've never used size 1s for very long with any of mine, once they have put back on their initial weight loss i move them into the bigger size because the overlap in sizing is really quite big and i find keeping them in the biggest size nappy for their weight is best for avoiding leaks and explosions.

In practical terms its 6-8 nappies a day for 7-10 days would be all i would buy in advance. Obviously they might be in them longer if they are a bit smaller or long and thin.

Also, just as a disclaimer, my smallest baby was 8lb 14 so my viewpoint of whats normal might be a bit off
