A few symptoms?? Any advice is welcome

Hi,

We are currently trying for our first baby and I can’t talk to my friends who are all mums as I don’t want to give away the fact that my husband and I have been trying to conceive.

A week ago I noticed I was having brown discharge (sorry for TMI) and I was also cramping? This went on for about 2-3days tops! Thoughout this week I’ve had the odd wave of nausea but nothing that affected me until yesterday when I felt I could actually be sick and desperately tried to avoid it!

I’m usually a 32-34day cycle ( today being 32) and I have been having lower cramps as if I’m about to have my period but usually I get sore boobs right before but nothing!

Yesterday I took a test (Asda freedom is knowing) but it was negative.

Did anyone else go through what I am? Or maybe I just am due a period and maybe something didn’t agree with me lol?

Hey - when we were TTC after coming off of contraception I found I had a couple of periods where I thought I was pregnant but I think it was my hormones regulating.

I know it's not great advice but try not to symptom spot as I did and it drove me (and my partner) mad.

Wait until your period would be due and then test again.

When you say came off contraception was you on the pill or just condoms? Only reason I ask is because I’ve been off the pill for 2 years.

I was on the pill for three years, followed by three years on the implant.

I know - we were quite open about the fact we were trying and now I'm pregnant we've told people early, as I find I need to talk to keep myself sane.

Awh congratulations to you!!

It’s such a big thing though isn’t it! I managed to keep my wedding dress quiet for sooo long but I guess that’s a very different thing all together!
