MUCUS PLUG?? 39 WEEKS

Hey everyone

So I'm 39 weeks pregnant today. Had sex with OH last night to try and get things moving as I'm soooo fed up (also had a curry and went on my ball).

Been to the toilet tonight and have passed this sticky blob - it's similar to what I had back on 15th August (I thought it was the beginning of my plug back then, I gave birth to my first born at 34 weeks). So this is all new territory for me!

I've attached pics - but my question is, is this my mucus plug? Is it more likely labour will start sooner now?? Or do I have to wait for the 'bloody show'?

Looks like my standard daily discharge at this point I'm afraid. (38+4 here)
I've always thought that the mucus plug was much thicker and more an actual blob of jelly. Seems to thin and stringy from what I've heard, but yet again, everyone will be different and I don't think I ever actually lost mine prior to giving birth and not everyone does.

I get exactly this the day after I have sex - every single time. And I'm just 20 weeks. It's apparently the ejaculation just solidifying slightly and coming back out. With my first the plug was a lot thicker and jelly like previous poster said. Xx
