Pregnancy bloat - does it stop?!

So I'm 5 weeks in and the bloat is real! I know at this stage it's bloat and not a bump, but I honestly look 4 or 5 months pregnant if I let it all out and if I look like this now, I don't know how I'll keep things quiet until 12 weeks. Going to a wedding in a black polka dot dress with an A line and think I can just about get away with it.

My question is, does the bloat stop...before the bump starts?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Yes it will stop! Its all early days and its just your body getting used to the changes.

I find peppermint tea really helps with bloating and a nice bath. Helps release some trapped wind too lol

Thanks ladies! Good to know and I will try the peppermint tea/ bath combo.

@EmmaOvary I'm suffering badly with bloat too - it's so uncomfortable I've had to buy bigger trousers and wear loose tops to work for the last week. My reflexologist told me that years ago a midwife had suggested that eating pears would help, so I'm going to try a pear a day from now on and will see how it goes!

Same! I'm 5+6 and struggling with bloating hugely. My work uniform is awfully tight but I don't want to wear non uniform as everyone will guess why. Clothes a size up and baggy at the moment!
