Debilitating nausea

Has anyone experienced debilitating nausea during their pregnancy? I’m only 7 weeks gone with my first baby and I cannot believe how rough I feel. I haven’t been able to go into work for four days because I just feel so nauseous. I’ve only been sick a handful of times but the nausea is overwhelming. I feel like people will think I’m a wuss. I’m trying different remedies with temporary success but every morning get up intending to go to work and just end up back in bed. Sad I know it doesn’t last forever (hopefully) and my manager has told me not to worry but I keep thinking well I can’t just not go to work for the foreseeable future Hmm

I had completely debilitating nausea from 6 weeks. I wasn't sick at all but couldn't eat or stand up. I even woke up several times each night retching and my days were spent in bed with a bucket. My gp prescribed promethazine tablets as I was struggling to eat anything and signed me off work. It was amazing and I was able to eat better each day and have just gone back to work at 10 weeks.
Some gps are reluctant to prescribe for this and expect to to suffer for weeks on end but my midwife said it's recommended to take medication because it's better for everyone if you're not miserable and malnourished!
There have been a few threads on nausea here if you have a search. I really hope you get some relief soon as it is awful xxx

Yes it's bloody awful. See a doctor. There are drugs that can help.

Thank you, I will look into that. It’s a comfort to know others have felt like this x
