Bad Eating Habits - help?

I'm currently 14w+5, before finding out I was pregnant, I was on a really good healthy diet with meat and veg meal preps daily, fruit and yogurt for breakfast etc. No chocolate, crisps etc, usually only at the weekend and not over indulging. So when I fell pregnant I had lost 2 stone in the first 6 months of the year - which I was super proud of.

I'm off slim build, only 8stone 7 when I feel pregnant. But since I found out, I crave and eat a lot of fruit, but I also over eat every lunch time!! At night time I'm not as bad, I only eat my dinner and nothing else. But day time I'm really terrible, I'm kind of beating myself up over not having control on what I eat. I haven't weighed myself for a few weeks, but last time I did I was 9stone 2 at around 12 weeks.

Am I just being too harsh on myself? I'm worried I put on way to much weight than I need too and they say that can make labour long and hard (although nothing is ever guaranteed!)

I haven't got any sign of a bump yet, still quite flat with small sign of what looks like bloating, can add pics if it helps to see if I am way over eating....

Is it just fruit that you crave or other sweets? Honestly the only thing that worked to control my weight gain was monitoring my diet through my fitness pal and not going over 2,000 calories per day no matter how much I wanted something

@Teddybear45 so sorry should have said that - I crave a lot of fruit such as apples and oranges. But it's the crisps that I struggle to stay away from, even when I'm not hungry! Which isn't like me at all.....

I used to use my fitness pal so I might need to get back on that!

Oh I sympathise. I had an awful potato craving, but only thing to do is not to indulge all the time and perhaps make them part of your meal in someway. I also suggest, if it’s salty stuff you’re craving, to try other things too - when I craved mashed potatoes I often substituted with mashed cauliflower. Same texture / taste but much better for me as lower in carbs.

@Teddybear45 that's a good idea, thank you! I guess you could say it is a potato craving I have, apart from I can't stand the sight of chips!! Totally went off chips......
