HI,
Im looking advice as I'm expecting twins in Jan 20. My issue at the moment is where I had my 1st Child 10yrs ago we had a Moses Basket in the living room and the cot upstairs in the bedroom but as I am expecting Twins I cannot find a Moses Basket big enough for Twins!!! Does anyone have any advice as to what to purchase for Newborn Twins to nap in? Confused I dont have enough space for 2 x Moses Baskets.

Depending on how much space you have the family I nannied for had a cheep Ikea full size cot which they both napped in together.

We used a travel cot with the bassinet but in the top

Hope you don't mind OP, but I've moved this to the Pregnancy board where you'll get more replies.

I bought 2 Moses baskets and then realized they both fitted in one! So I put one upstairs and one down stairs.

I feel you, I lived in a tiny one bedroom flat when I found out I was expecting twins. In the end I had to get two moses baskets and have a massive shift around of our existing furniture to fit them into the living room as my twins were very prem and tiny (issues with my body so not trying to scare you) so any other cot wouldn't have been safe for them to begin with.

Ended up having to get rid of a lot of furniture to make space for everything they needed, but it was all worth it of course :) once they got a fair bit bigger and safe enough for a cot I found a double cot (just a bit smaller than a childs single bed) that they shared until DS started standing/travelling and inevitably standing on DD in the process! At that point I used a travel cot each. Congratulations on your twins OP :D

Could you use a next2me type thing? I had the tutti bambini one and it was quite big but not too heavy to move so might work?

Chicco Next to me is nice & roomy Smile maybe try one of those?

Congratulations on your twins! Flowers

Hi OP! Have a look on the TAMBA website, they are fab. I went to one of their workshops last weekend (I am nearly 18 weeks with twins myself) and they covered this; their best advice was having both sleeping in the same cot until one starts to roll over, then separate cots. Apparently you can’t put two in one Moses basket, and also NICE haven’t finished their research in to twins sharing a Chicco next to me yet so there is no ‘official’ guidance on it (although apparently many use this). But they said sharing a cot for those early months is best!
