Why am I so so so hungry?

I’m seven weeks pregnant and I am hungry as if I was a hippo. It’s 930am. I’ve eaten a bowl of cornflakes, 2 eggs, a blue berry muffin and a banana and I feel like I will faint if I don’t eat at again in the next ten minutes. I also ate a whole pizza overnight. I am having to eat pretty much every hour and it’s so tough because most things are unappealing and my body doesn’t want any healthy food! Why is this happening? My first pregnancy was similar but I swear this time it’s worse. I wonder if my body is asking for something specific I’m not giving it. It’s a huge problem because I’m exhausted but I’m not getting much sleep because I am either feeling sick from food or sick from hunger or nauseous. Help?!

Make sure you're not mistaking extreme thirst for hunger. I was also so so hungry (I even cried once because my appetite was controlling my life) but upping water intake and almost constantly sipping herbal teas definitely helped.

Try water filled foods too - cucumber / melon etc.

As always it's worth asking at Drs or midwives if you are truly feeling faint or if it's uncontrollable.

Yes I do think that’s a part of it. I am. It drinking enough because it makes me feel sick, but. Y stomach is actually rumbling! It’s like the food is digesting instantly!

I had this and started to include more protein and it helps massively... E.g nuts/seeds with breakfast, high protein yoghurt, larger than normal lunches with high protein content, snacks like peanut butter and jam on ricecakes etc and it has 100% helped

Oooh yes coconutbug has the right idea!

Protein if you can! It will fill you up more.

Greek yoghurt.

Seeds (I have this linseed mix from LIDL which is ground down as I cant stand eating seeds whole)

Protein powder maybe if its pregnancy friendly? I put mine in porridge.

Boiled eggs

Egg white omelette/ordinary omelette

I say this now as a non pg person but I remember all too well eating purely to stave off feeling sick all the fucking time 😂 my diet consisted of porridge, toast, beans on toast, chips, chips and beans, chocolate and ginger (which eventually made me feel sick)

Definitely try and get water in you as much as possible. But I would imagine the constant need to eat will ease off in the 2nd trimester.

Congratulations on no.2 btw!
