VBAC and hypnobirthing

I was wondering if anyone has experience of these? I am expecting DC4 in March. My first delivery ended up with forceps and 3rd degree tear, my second was EMCS. I was a nervous when it came to my third delivery so I opted for an elective c section.

Now though I have heard of women having wonderful experiences with hypnobirthing and wondered if this was something that I should consider.

I'd love to hear your experiences.

I dont have a personal experience to share, but I am due in December and planning for a VBAC at home. My first baby was born via a traumatic EMCS. I am learning hypnobirthing and have been reading lots of positive birth stories. There are loads of examples online and in podcasts of VBACs supported by hypnobirthing. Good luck x

@peamad, are you attending classes in hypnobirthing or are you just using online resources?

Good luck with your delivery, I hope it goes as you plan :)

We are having a one-to-one course at home.

I had a private hypnobirthing session and delivered vaginally.

I would really recommend it, I found it helped me focus and stay calm and in "the zone" instead of getting overwhelmed by the contaction pains leading up to the pushing stage. Although I have to admit it wasnt all calm, I did loose it once fully dilated and shout for someone to just pull it out! 🤣 but I have my name down to do it again this pregnancy because it defo helped 🙂

Sorry excuse typos, I typed that too fast, i meant contraction and im not sure "vaginally" is even a word 😂😂

@Scarletrose18 Thanks, that's really helped me. Stupid question, but what does it do in terms of the pain? I remember being so overwhelmed with my second delivery I could hear myself making these awful noises, I couldn't even register at the time that I was the one making them!
