Hi, I’m new to mumsnet, but I just really needed to get this all off my chest and see if anyone could offer advice. So I’m currently 19 + 4 weeks pregnant with my 6th child everything was fine at first then at 9 weeks I had a severe bleed it was so bad I thought I’d lost him so went into hospital and was scanned and all was fine they couldn’t find a cause for bleed so was sent home and had just the odd light spotting which was in between red and pink in colour so I didn’t think much and carried on then on Thursday night I had another severe bleed so I went in I was scanned first and was told it looked good then she did a speculum and said actually you need to be admitted they wasn’t sure weather my waters had gone, so I was kept on the delivery suit all night in case I went into labour then the next day I was taken for another scan to mesure the volume of fluid around baby and they said it was very good and I had lots of fluid they said the normal range in the deepest pool should be between 2/8 and mine was 7 they also said I had a low lying placenta and they could see a 7cm clot. I was sent home after being in 24 hours with instructions to take it easy and eat and drink well and put on 2 courses of antibiotics but I’m constantly worrying about loosing him they said I am at risk of loosing him and I’m also at risk of infection and scepsis I’ve also been experiencing lower back pain in my right side but about a week ago I did pull a muscle in my back so I’m just assuming the pain is that as it seems to only really hurt when I move. I’m just so confused I still don’t know for sure if it is my waters they said because I’m having slightly watery blood but to me it looks more slimy and abit sticky however it can be pink at times. I have another scan in Thursday but it just seems like Thursday is forever away. Sorry for the long post but just needed to see if maybe someone out their had and similar experience. Thank you.

Hi, with my 4th pregnancy I had very similar to this, my waters went at 24 weeks every night I was in hospital for four weeks after that, I had a low lying placenta but only found that out the day I had an emergency c section he was born at 28 weeks and very poorly I was put on antibiotics told I could only shower and not bath, they kept him in slide me aslong as they could but had to deliver 11 weeks premature as I was losing a lot of blood and water constantly bursting, he is now a healthy 6 year old and I'm now on my 6th pregnancy due in January, my advice is to do as they say rest and no heavy housework or lifting, xx
