Morning sickness gone at 7 weeks

Hey all,

I recently found out I'm pregnant with my first and feeling quite concerned. From about 5.5 weeks, I was quite nauseous, and last week vomited once. I was expecting the sickness to start ramping up, but now, as I'm about to enter into my 7th week, all morning sickness symptoms have gone. Two days ago, I was queasy, gagging and averse to foods, and now I feel pretty much fine. I know symptoms aren't always a reliable indicator of the viability of a pregnancy, but I'm so worried about a missed miscarriage. I'm supposed to go in for my first scan this week anyways, but I'm absolutely wretched waiting for it, and was just wondering if any of you have experienced something similar and not been hit with the worst.

I had exactly this and panicked and had a scan and everything was okay. He's 16 now!

I hope all goes well for you this week!

It’s really common. By the first scan loads of women feel completely normal and start to doubt they are pregnant at all.
I felt like that and then retched, barfed, and puked my way through the rest of one pregnancy though. With the other two I stopped vomiting around five month mark. Early pregnancy symptoms love to mess with your mind.
Hope everything is ok x

My symptoms for better around week 8 (I think) but only for about a week. They came back. Now 14+6 though with what appears to be a healthy wriggly baby!

I had no symptoms. Sore boobs for a week and then nothing else but heartburn through out the rest of my pregnancy. He's 10 weeks old now! ☺️ good luck! X

Thanks for the reassurances! Keeping my fingers crossed.

Are you having an early scan because of previous MC? I think it’s really natural to be panicking.

I had nausea on and off all through the first trimester out til 17-18w, I often had a few days of feeling great before it came back. I doubt you will get a solid answer, everyone has very different experiences unfortunately.

Hope your scan helps to reassure you too.

No, @devilishlygood, I've never been pregnant before. But I had trouble getting pregnant, so this baby was conceived by IUI, and I think it's just the fertility clinic's practice to scan early. Of course, given how hard it was to get pregnant, I'm very desperate for this to stick and perhaps feeling a little too paranoid.

I may have panicked too soon, because I actually ended up having morning sickness today. But I find that I'm not feeling all that calmer—I doubt I will until I get confirmation that everything is OK.
