Horrible bloating at 6 weeks pregnant??

I only found out last week that I am pregnant & I am sooo happy but what the hell is with the bloating?

I'm only 6 weeks tomorrow & I swear I look about 5 months pregnant already! God knows how I'm supposed to keep this a secret. We sadly miscarried in February & we had told so many people I was pregnant, so we are trying to keep it a secret until 12 weeks. Has anyone bloated this early? Is it baby bump already or am I just getting fat? Does it go away or is that it now? I'm fully aware my body is going to change, I've got a 5 year old. But I didn't think it would change this much so soon.

We have a wedding to go to in 2 weeks & my dresses don't fit, I look like I have an obvious baby bump?? I'm seriously considering not going! 😂😂😩😩😂 I'm also passing wind like mad! (Sorry)

Does anyone have any cures for this bloat or should I just shut up & deal with it?!

Bloat is normal.

I'd suggest you might want to get 'what to expect when you're expecting' or similar... it's time to read up on what other effects pregnancy can have on your body in the coming months.

It's normal but I'd never heard of it either. I found it worse than the nausea and the not knowing how fat I'd be each day was awkward. Apparently the increase in progesterone causes all the smooth muscle to relax, I think some people also get this as PMS.

I think I deflated around week 12 and the bump came later.
