Maternity jeans recommendations?

I usually buy mine from topshop but most of their maternity jeans are out of stock in most sizes

Where were your favourite maternity jeans from? Or did you find them pointless at not staying up so lived in leggings?

My fave are the asos ones, I bought the same black pair twice and I'm wearing them to work!

Second vote for ASOS

homley · 15/09/2019 18:30

I love my H&M ones

catlady3 · 15/09/2019 18:33

I got a pair from Gap because it was massively discounted, but frankly, it fits terribly! Manages to dig into my belly and at the same time, it keeps sliding down.

BeanBag7 · 15/09/2019 19:10

I dont have recommendations but I definitely would not recommend the Mothercare ones. Very poor quality and became stretched out very quickly.

Beclaboo · 15/09/2019 21:23

Ah thanks everyone!!

I better give ASOS a go then! 🤗

I’ve tried quite a lot but have to say Topshop Leigh over bump are my all time faves. eBay/Depop maybe worth a look if new ones are out of stock. I’m actually selling a pair of new mid blue overbump Leighs size 12 (30w 30L) which turned out to be too big for me, if you happen to be that size!

Another vote for ASOS over the bump jeans

I got mine from Dorothy Perkins and were great, lasted really well. I got a pair from mothercare, a lot more pricey and looked great at first but the elastic went very quickly around tops of legs and just looked messy!! Wouldn't get them from there again. I loved maternity jeans for going out the house everyday, just felt a bit more dressy ... but as soon as I got home the leggings were on! :) have a fun shopping x

Red herring at Debenhams were great for me

whatswithtodaytoday · 15/09/2019 21:59

H&M over bump, but they got too uncomfy after about 30 weeks and I lived in leggings.

georgialondon · 15/09/2019 21:59

I absolutely love Gap ones. Stay up fine for me and look/feel like my normal jeans.

Domino45 · 15/09/2019 22:05

Asos, I’m still wearing mine 5 months after birth as there so comfortable. I love the Topshop Leigh maternity jeans too. But didn’t love the over the bump ones I had as they kept falling down.

AmericanAbroad · 15/09/2019 22:06

I loved the TopShop ones, but bought secondhand off Vinted!

Though after about 6/7 months I gave up on jeans and just wore leggings

NZlife · 15/09/2019 22:13

H&M over bump ones, they had a massive jersey panel and were so comfy the whole way through!

They were great at staying up and I found them cosy as well which is another plus coming into colder weather. Congratulations on your pregnancy OP x

kiwielite · 16/09/2019 04:53

After trying several I bought New Looks over the bump Emelie jeggings. The fit was great. black ones smart enough for work but they didn’t wash well - the colour faded quickly so didn’t last long for work purposes

fonxey · 16/09/2019 06:13

I loved my h&m ones but by Ankit 26ish weeks they became far too tight under the bump.

I got some from Dorethy Perkins but they aren't as comfortable. And have the same old problem for me where they are always just too big and the smaller size would be too small.

Jedimastermama · 16/09/2019 06:20

I got a pair from Next, found them very comfy. Have now bought another 2 pairs. 😁

Jedimastermama · 16/09/2019 06:21

Was supposed to end that post with a Smile

FenellaMaxwell · 16/09/2019 06:22

H&M over bump are great. Try them on though as when I was pregnant 3 years ago, they came up v small and everyone had to size up 2 sizes.

hopeful31 · 16/09/2019 06:32

Topshop ☺️

Doughnot · 16/09/2019 06:35

There are loads of h&m and asos ones on Ebay for around £3 or so. I get all my maternity stuff off Ebay as a) it's much cheaper, b) it's usually still in good condition as it's only been worn a few months and mainly c) way better for the planet than me buying something new that I'll wear for a few months, possibly for a couple of pregnancies.

And you can order a few different brands for a fraction of the price of ordering 1 new pair, so you can see what works best for your bump shape.

I've had most success with h&m over bump jeans - there are LOADS of those on Ebay.

LittleDoveLove · 16/09/2019 22:14

H&M hands down the best in my opinion, soooo comfy and they do tracksuit bottoms too so you can mooch about in them when massive! You need to go a size up though as they are small sizes x

whatswithtodaytoday · 17/09/2019 06:59

H&M over bump leggings were my favourites too, and I wore them for a good couple of months post-birth (c section so needed something soft). In fact I'd wear them now if they weren't too big.
