Heartburn- omeprazole not working

I'm 34 weeks pregnant. I've had heartburn throughout the pregnancy but rennie and gaviscon stopped working a few weeks ago. The doctor prescribed omeprazole which seemed to be working but today I feel awful and my heartburn won't go away. I've taken the omeprazole and double action gaviscon and rennie and its not getting better.
Does anyone have any other tips to help ease the heartburn? I'm really struggling today.

You might need to adjust your diet for the last bit of pregnancy. There are quite a few foods that can trigger it, like a lot of fruits. Or it might be an idea to separate your meals out into six smaller meals throughout the day rather than three.

How much Omeprazole are you taking? So I would go to the doctor before taking more etc as I don't know it's safety in pregnancy but I take it morning and night now - also there is a stronger one Easomeprazole (I think that's how it's spelt) but they only give it out if you push for it as it's expensive. I also find ranitidine more helpful that omeprazole but I'm currently taking them both together - I would go and ask if any of these are options.

People tend to think indigestion/reflux is a bit of nothing but honestly OP I've had it the last 12 months or so for various reasons and it's agonising isn't it. I've even ended up in A&E once thinking I was having a heart attack.

Hope you get it sorted.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I've been watching what I eat and don't have much room due to the baby, so all my meals are small!

I'll make another appointment with the doctor to see if I can up the dose.

I've been using rantidine and really like it. Gaviscon advance is also good to use at night time, and can be prescribed as it is expensive over the counter.

Omeprazole is working for me for now (29 weeks) but the Dr put both that and ranitidine on my repeat prescription so I assume you can take them together? Might be worth a try?
