Hi ladies,

Just posting for a bit of advice, I had my son at 37 weeks due to IUGR, he was born healthy albeit a tiny 5lb 8, however he was always an ok weigh until around 34 weeks

I am 27 weeks today with DS2 and have had a private scan as I was worried about how small I am and I am not due a hospital growth scan until the end of the month. Baby is currently only measuring on the 2nd percentile!!

I see my midwife Tuesday however was wondering if anyone had any experience with baby measuring so small so early on

Thanks in advance xxx

No advice...but I'm measuring small..So I feel your panick..this is my 4th baby...all my 3 babies were 7lbers...so dont know why I'm small this time...my bump was measuring 28 weeks at 32 weeks...And I had a scan at 31+5 and baby measured 3lb 5oz...So I'm now booked in for 34 week growth scan & have been told maybe early delivery if growth stops or continues to be slow...With your first baby when did they pick up on the growth?...How slowly did you grow to keep you going until 37 weeks?Does this make it more likely to happen this time around again?...someone I spoke to on here was having growth scans from 20 weeks...u maybe able to help eachother...@newbabby

If you've had a IUGR baby before surely this seems to be heading the same way by all accounts. I wouldn't worry about the centile my baby was born on the 4th centile and 10 weeks later she is 0.4 centile but Iv been told not to worry as long as she consistently gains weight.

Also I had growth scans every 2 weeks from 24 weeks and was induced at 37 weeks.

My advice is don't worry! I had growth scans every week with my second as she was small and she came out heavier then my first ?? A good 8 pounder she was lol aslong as baby is healthy and your okay don't worry. They are just over cautious sometimes xx
