I had an early scan on Thursday due to recurrent miscarriage - by my dates I was 5 weeks 6 days ....

They could see something with the abdominal scan but said they needed to do internal.

Baby and yolk sac are there however she said I was a little under my dates by a couple of days as the CRL was quite small at 2.1mm

We saw a heartbeat

I'm now, as you do, worrying myself silly that baby is too small and that even though we've seen a heartbeat - it could still fail.

Sounds like baby is right on track mine measured 0.33mm at 5+6, a couple of days is absolutely nothing at this stage. I was a couple of days behind at that scan I was meant to be 6+1 we then caught up by 8 weeks and then 2 days ahead by 12 weeks. They are measuring something so tiny and it’s amazing to have a heartbeat this early. Try not to worry it all sounds fine x

I had a scan at 5+3 and there was no baby even visible, they weren't even sure of feral pole but I am 20 weeks now! I'd say it sounds fine.
