Anterior placenta after previous c section

Has anyone had this? I'm 16 weeks with dc 3, last pregnancy elcs. This time I have an anterior placenta and I'm terrified it will be a placental accreta where it imbeds in your csection scar. My consultant says they will scan me at a later date to see. Has anyone had an anterior after csection?

Luckily mine is posterior so I don't have to have the extra anxiety about this. Though I did read up about it when I got pregnant and I think it's really quite uncommon so I wouldn't worry. My friend had anterior for both her pregnancies, her first pregnancy she had a c section and no problems with pregnancy ended with a vbac.

Thank you! Glad yours is posterior. I am going to need another csection for other reasons. I just hope that it's not near my csection scar.

Its really unlikely to be an issue, but I completely understand your anxiety. I worry about everything in pregnancy. I'll be having another c section too. Good luck x

I did. I had Placenta Praevia with DC2 and so had a section. With DC 3 I managed to get PP again, and my placenta was huge. I was lucky enough to take part in a trial looking at how best to diagnose placenta acreta.

I had an ultrasound and an MRI.

I did not have acreta.

Hi, I'm expecting twins now after a C-section with my first. Both have anterior placenta but no issues with location. They should check it at your 20 week scan but remember mostly the placenta moves up as your pregnancy progresses so it's unlikely it's over your scar.
