Early scan showed painful ovary is swollen

Am 6+5 and had an early scan which has shown ovary to be swollen. I've had pain across my tummy for weeks but thought that was due to an old c-section scar (that didn't heal well many years ago). A constant dull ache and sharp pain when I cough or move suddenly. Sonographer said just to keep an eye on it? Scan showed everything is in the right place so not ectopic but anyone else had same/similar?

Are they 100% about the ectopic? I Only say that at there is such a thing as heterotropic ectopics where 1 baby is in the uterus and 1 can attach to the tube or ovary itself but it's vey very rare?

She didn't actually mention ectopic but did give me a picture showing the egg sac and yoke (as she described things). How would I find out if it is an ectopic? I'd not heard of what you describe!

It's incredibly rare so highly unlikely anything to worry about - an ectopic would most likely be spotted on a scan x

Thank you lovelydream. X
