I’m on my second HG pregnancy but since my daughter, my asthma has been a fair bit worse (probably because it’s often trigged by winter illnesses!). I’ve been told it’s safe to continue my inhalers so I have been..

I don’t know if this is a daft question but will my vomiting not long after a dose affect its absorption? I find taking the inhaler quite hard as it makes me want to throw up which I often do..

I’m not too worried at the mo, my breathing is fine but I know the onslaught of winter germs is approaching and I’m keen to be well prepared from my preventative!

Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't have thought so because the medication is breathed into your lungs and absorbed that way. My asthma nurse certainly didn't share any concerns when I told her I had been vomiting

Hey hope you feel better soon. Your inhalers will definitely still work as the meds are inhaled into your lungs, not your stomach.

Are you using a spacer? If not I would speak to your GP/asthma nurse and try one. The inhaler is more effective and you can just breathe normally when you use it rather than a deep breath/breath hold which you do if not using one.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and hope the HG improves soon Thanks
