hand gel!??

hi all,

gonna sound really weird but my friend who is also pregnant has a thing atm for the smell of hand sanitizer!? I know all sorts of weird and wonderful things can happen during pregnancy so no judgements at all but shes asked if I think its dangerous? I mean I can't see really that it would be I haven't seen any inhale warnings for hand gels etc. but said I would ask on here for opinions the ransoms of pregnancy eh! x

I wouldn't think the smell would be too bad - as long as she doesn't drink it! Seriously, when I became addicted to certain smells in my pregnancies it was a type of Pica (the think sometimes associated with eating odd things in pregnancy) and was a symptom of anaemia.

yeah I mean I guess cos we rub it into our skin the smell wouldn't be too bad and yes there is a caution for drinking it! it's funny I've heard of strange cravings but never known anyone have them so it's quite incredible to see how much she needs to smell this stuff. oh really - might mention to her to let midwife know at her next appointment then see if they wanna check anything c
