Had 7 week scan but baby measuring 5 weeks?

Hi just wanted to know if anyone else was in the same position as me. Was sent for an early scan due to my age..im 46! But when i was scanned at 7weeks 5days the nurse said the baby measures at 5 weeks 3 days. She said if my dates are right (i know they are) then theres the possibility that the baby has stopped growing. Really worried now as this is my first pregnancy and probably the only chance i get to become a mum. There was a fetal pole in the ultrasound x

This has happened to me in 2 pregnancies in my 40s. The first outcome was negative as the pregnancy was slow to progress then stopped. The second outcome was positive and in weeks everything was as it should be. I'm sorry OP it's a very difficult time waiting. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Take care

Didn't want to read and run but, I think Kelly has covered what I was thinking. Just wanted to say that I hope all is well and you may have ovulated later than you think! I hope that is the case.

I've went for early scan today should be 7+1 instead I'm measuring 6+1. Any updates original poster how u got on
