Hi everyone

I’m 28 weeks and today my little one hasn’t been moving so much. I’ve felt him throughout the day but not as much as I would usually feel him.

I’m not overly concerned coz I have felt him move but they are softer movements and not his usual karate chops. I can feel him moving gently now.

Do I need to ring the MAU (maternity assessment unit) or is it normal for him to ease off sometimes?

I’ve been reading my leaflets in my midwife notes about reduced movements but I’m not really sure what to make of my situation?

Any advice?

Thanks x

If in doubt, always check. If it's not normal for you, check. Better safe than sorry.

Always go and get checked. Don’t feel silly
My midwife is always telling me even if it’s slightly or I feel like I’ve been busy and just haven’t noticed it’s better to be safe than sorry
The hospital will be really supportive and won’t make you feel like your time wasting... just call x
