Tracking baby movements

Hi all. I'm 23 weeks on Wednesday and at my midwife appointment last week she advised me to start tracking movements. The issue is that I have only started to feel movements in the last 10 days or so as have an anterior placenta. Some days I feel a fair amount and other days hardly anything at all. I can't help but feel that 22/23 weeks is a little too early to start tracking movements. I don't want to get myself worried if I don't feel much one day. Just interested to know if anyone else is in a similar situation? Really sporadic movements at this stage. Thanks as ever!

I was told only from 26 weeks, felt bugger all before then so tracking movements would have been futile.
That does sound wrong to me, you’ll be permanently in the MAU worried.

I didn’t start tracking that early as was on and off, advice is from 16-24 weeks but everyone’s body is different so there’s no set rule for everyone.

Download the kicks count app it’s free and really good. You’ll feel like your not doing it right at first but after a couple of weeks and as the movements get stronger you’ll get to know your baby and body

Thank you both!
