B12 injections when pregnant?

Does anyone know if it’s still ok to get b12 injections when pregnant? I started paying for these since I was low but still the lower end of the normal range. I felt exhausted and once I started these I felt as though I was starting to feel a difference but I’m unsure if I can continue them now I am pregnant? I’ve avoided it so far but wondered if it would be safe as I’m really struggling with fatigue

Yeh. I just had mine today. Had avoided it for a month waiting to ask my midwife who told me to ask my gp -_- they want you to keep up the levels

@Yvonne1988 was yours through your doctor? I pay for mine privately. When I asked the lady who usually does it she said it wasn’t suitable for pregnant ladies but other people told me it was perfectly safe. I’m not sure what to do

Perfectly safe but discuss with your doctor .

@L012345 yeh I get mine through my Dr. I'd looked it up online and it was saying it was ok and they confirmed it for me. Dr said need to keep levels up because it won't be good if they get too low.

I’m just worried it’s different when getting it privately but surely not. I’ll ask my doctor but I won’t have an appointment for a while. That’s what I was worried about as I know mine dropped low when I was pregnant with my last Dc. Thank you for the replies

I got mine after I was pregnant for the first time. Been getting them 9 years now. They will probably be using the same stuff.

I get b12 injections every 2 months totally fine in pregnancy. If on injections it’s coz you probably can’t absorb it through diet. If no injections your levels would drop so def needed in pregnancy too.
