Has anyone ever got pregnant with the copper coil?

Or known someone who has? Basically I've had the coil for around 8 months now and always had regular periods, I'm not late yet but something told me to take a test and I've got what I think is a very faint line! It looks just like my v early positive with my twins 😕 I'm just in a state of shock really.. I'll have to take more tests to confirm but I wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

My flatmate. She'd only slept with the guy a couple of times too and when she went to have it checked it hadn't malfunctioned or anything so they were at a loss as to how she had still got pregnant.

Always wise to use condoms anyway, consider anything else a back up.

Oh god.. well I've already got a 4 year old and 11 month old twins so I didn't plan on anymore hence the coil.. we use condoms sometimes but not all the time, suppose it only takes the once🤔

Afraid so! Hopefully it's a false positive! Must be hard enough as it is with three kids under 5!

@EvaGraceMummy2015 I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant. I had the copper coil for 3 years and it was still in the right place but I got pregnant! To say me and hubby was shocked is an understatement!

I had the coil taken out as I was early enough because it can cause problems later on. I went to a&e and got sent to the EPU. We only planned on 2 children as we've got a 9 and 5 year old boys. However after the shock I couldn't be happier to add a new addition. The shock still kicks in sometimes now. Hubby is booked in to get a vasectomy!!

My old manager at work did, she said her daughter came out holding it!
