Hey there mums.

I'll be 31 weeks pregnant Tuesday.
2nd pregnancy (1st no problems & went bang on 40 weeks).

I've had the runs for the last 3/4 days, & I could have sworn I had a couple of "Braxton hicks" this morning.
Does this mean early labour is near?
I am gestational diabetic as well 🙄 so baby is already above 3lb. *

Any tips/help would be great. *
Thanks.

Hi @LauMoore94 just bumping this for you, so hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon with some advice. Flowers

@LauMoore94 unfortunately there's no way to "know" until it kicks off properly. I've been having regular braxton hicks since around 31 weeks and I'm now 37 and not gone into labour yet.
If they are painful, in a regular pattern and don't go away a while after changing position then it could be something more, but they get more common towards the end as your body gets itself ready.

I definitely had a "clear out" before my first labour but it was only maybe 2 loose stools in succession at around 37 weeks, it wasn't the runs lasting a few days.

Make sure you stay well hydrated and rest when you can, firstly if it's a bug of some kind you need to recover or if its the start of something you'll need energy.
