Out of curiosity?

Baby upside down presently (although i have AGES yet)

Hoping for a home birth, but feet first is scary!

Anyone done it?

I haven't but a friend of mine did. Her's was an undiagnosed breech, first baby. I think she gave birth in theatre, in case anything went wrong, but it was all fine .

I was chatting to Mars about this. Apparently it?s fine as long as once the feet come out the baby isn't pulled but allowed to slip out on it's own. If someone grabbed your ankles and yanked you through a tunnel when you weren't expecting it your natural reaction would be to put your arms up and you don't want that happening inside you aye!

My last 1-2-1 midwife with who I had my home birth said that breech births were fine and had no problem with letting me get on with it at home if the baby was going to be breech.
She said that in a hospital environment they would give you a cesarean nowadays which we both found very sad.

urgh. mine is currently in a breech position. By god its not comfortable with a shoulder jammed up inside my belly button and head up against the ribs. I'm 22 wks and no one seems bothered - they think she'll turn by the end. I think you can get them turned too, by the doctor...better than trying to deliver head last, for the comfort and saftey of the child, I believe...
