As the title - when does the extreme, bloodhound sense of smell stop?! It’s driving me insane, I can’t stand the smell of my kitchen, cooking (particular meat & peppers), washing powder, even hand soap amongst many others! Even my child’s hair after a shampoo is too much Confused

I can’t remember from last pregnancy but I do remember it wasn’t this extreme the whole way through! I’m currently 12 weeks.. please say it ends soon!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm 39 weeks and it still hasn't :(

Hope it goes sooner for you!

About 16/17 weeks for me. This was when I could start to venture back into the kitchen. Washing powder/soap/fabric conditioner/kitchen bins were the worst for me. Things still didn’t smell ‘right’ the whole way through though. I could tolerate coffee, but not tea.

18 years post partum and its never settled back to how it used to be before I was pregnant.

About 18 weeks for me. I still gagged at cigarettes and bins all pregnancy though.

Mine was awful early on but has eased a bit now.

I spent the first trimester convinced I had a urine infection but it turns out that's just what wee smells like 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

It's still there (28 weeks) but definitely calmed down from early in the second trimester.. fingers crossed for you!
